Cast Iron Soho

Oil, 24" X 18", 1993

This painting is an example of one of the many cast-iron facades found in New York City, many of them located in Soho. This style of architecture was very popular in the late 1890's through the turn of the century. The graceful columns casting shadows are wonderful to look at.
